FORECAST: Sunny with high near 104; heat advisory in afternoon

Wednesday forecast for Austin: Central Texans on Wednesday could see temperatures reach 104 degrees for the third time this month, according to meteorologists.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 104. A heat advisory will be in affect from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m..

Temperatures reached 104 degrees on both Saturday and Monday, according to data from the weather service. So far this month, only one day did not have temperatures reach 100 degrees or higher.

Heat index values on Wednesday are expected to be around 110 degrees. The heat index combines relative humidity with air temperature to more accurately measure how hot your body will feel outside.

The evening will be mostly clear with overnight lows around 78 degrees.

South, southeast evening winds will blow at 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny and hot with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 100 degrees. The evening will be partly cloudy with a 20% chance of rain and overnight lows around 75.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 94 degrees.
