Thursday forecast for Austin: Central Texans have yet another sunny and hot weekday ahead.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny and hot Thursday with a high near 105 degrees.

The heat index may reach as high as 110 degrees. The heat index combines relative humidity with air temperature to more accurately measure how hot your body will feel outside.

South, southwest winds are expected to blow at around 5 to 10 mph, meteorologists said.

The evening will be clear with an overnight low around 77 degrees. South, southeast winds will blow around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 97 degrees. The evening will be partly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain and an overnight low around 74.
