Amazon to sell exclusive brand of home health products

Amazon continues its expansion into health care
Amazon announced Friday that it will team up with health brand consultancy firm Aracadia Group to create an exclusive brand called Choice for consumer-focused medical devices.
Devices will include blood pressure cuffs and glucose monitors, which were available on Amazon’s website Friday morning.
“Our products are best in class and very affordable,” Bob Guest, CEO of Arcadia Group, said in a written statement. “Over time we intend to incorporate voice driven measurement interpretation as well as individualize wellness recommendations. This is all possible with Alexa, and will provide patients with a wellness experience not available until now.”
Despite the news, Amazon shares fell 8 percent Friday morning following its third-quarter earnings report. The company reported weaker than expected guidance for the upcoming holiday season.
