President Donald Trump and Apple CEO Tim Cook are expected to tour Apple Inc.’s facilities in Texas next week on Wednesday, according to a Reuters report.

The trip is intended to showcase companies that keep jobs in America, Reuters reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.

The Reuters story did not say where in Texas the visit would occur, but Austin is Apple’s largest hub outside of its Cupertino, Calif., headquarters. The tech company has more than 6,000 employees at its existing Austin main campus, and last year announced plans for a new campus that will employ up to 5,000 people initially and potentially 15,000 over time.

The visit has not yet been officially announced. The White House and Apple declined to comment Friday.

This tour would highlight Cook's relationship with Trump as he seeks further relief for Apple from U.S. tariffs on imports from China, according to the Reuters story. The tariffs are part of a prolonged, tit-for-tat trade war between the world's largest economies. Apple has asked the Trump administration to waive tariffs on Chinese-made Apple Watches, iPhone components and other consumer products, according to filings with trade regulators.

Apple announced in September that it would keep manufacturing its Mac Pro computers in Austin, after it received exemptions from some proposed federal tariffs. The Mac Pro has been manufactured in the Flextronics Americas factory in Northwest Austin, which Cook confirmed in 2013.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will be out of the state next week, attending the Republican Governors Association meeting in Boca Raton, Fla., from Monday to Friday. Abbott spokesman John Wittman said the governor’s office had received no word on a possible visit by the president to Austin.
