ART AND MUSICAL CONCERT EVENT TO HIT COLORFUL, HIGH NOTES
Thomas J. Henry presents AUSTIN ELEVATES
Since the beginning of his renowned trial attorney career 25 years ago and the founding of the largest personal injury firm in Texas serving clients nationwide, Thomas J. Henry has long believed in using his success to uplift his community.
One could say that Henry has philanthropy down to a fine art.
Charitable giving is personal for Henry and a deeply held philosophy in his firm: “It is only through human interaction and helping others that we form a closer community, closer country and closer world.”
Thomas J. Henry is proud to present “Austin Elevates” — a free art and music experience, Nov. 8-9 in Austin, Texas.
The two-day event will benefit three local nonprofit organizations: The SAFE Alliance, which is dedicated to stopping abuse for everyone through prevention, advocacy and comprehensive services; Superhero Kids, which provides quality of life assistance to patients and families being treated at Dell Children’s Blood and Cancer Center; and the St. David’s Foundation Community Fund, which is focused on helping transform the lives of Central Texans and establishing new benchmarks for community health.
The vibrant, high-profile art event will kick off on Friday, Nov. 8, 7-10 p.m., at Parlor & Yard (601 W. 6th St., 78701), with the grand entrance of Alec Monopoly and the unveiling of his mural dedicated to the Lone Star State.
“Alec Monopoly” is the alias of a widely known street artist who has worked on urban environments and high-profile commercial projects.
“Alec Monopoly’s iconic work has been seen around the world and featured in almost every top
publication,” said Henry. “It is my honor to welcome him to Austin and bring his unique art home to Texas for everyone to enjoy.”
After the mural dedication, there will be an invitation-only afterparty at Summit Rooftop Lounge (120 W. 5th St., 78701), with a musical performance by G-Eazy, a popular West Coast rapper and producer who headlined a concert for Bay Area fire relief in 2018 that raised millions.
“Austin Elevates” will continue on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m., with a free benefit concert at the Austin360 Amphitheatre (9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd., 78617), featuring live performances by international recording artists KYGO and Daddy Yankee.
KYGO is a Norwegian DJ, songwriter and record producer who recently released a highly acclaimed remix this year of the late Whitney Houston’s cover song “Higher Love.” Daddy Yankee is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, rapper, actor and record producer who famously coined the musical genre “Reggaeton.”
While the two-day event is free, tickets are required for entry.
Visit AustinElevates.com for more information, to donate to the beneficiaries or to subscribe to ticket alerts for the Alec Monopoly mural unveiling on Nov. 8. Due to the popularity of the concert on Nov. 9, tickets are no longer available, as they sold out within four days.
Former Texas Congresswoman Barbara Jordan once spoke to the universality of the arts and their potential to unify. “The arts can lift us up,” she concluded.
Thomas J. Henry invites everyone to be uplifted by “Austin Elevates” and to help uplift others.
