Juvenile detained after school shooting threat, Williamson authorities say

A juvenile was taken into custody Friday following a threat to “shoot up” a middle school in Northwest Austin, according to the Williamson County sheriff’s office.

The threat involved Deerpark Middle School on Anderson Mill Road north of U.S. 183, a statement from the sheriff’s office said.

No weapons were found on juvenile, the statement said, and the public is not in any danger.

A juvenile is in custody from Deer Park MS after a threat was made to “shoot up” the school. No weapons found on juvenile. School administration/juveniles parents/ WCSO all working together. We believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe anyone in danger at this time.
