Officials ask for help solving 2011 homicide near LaBare

Authorities are asking for the public’s help solving a cold case that occurred near the LaBare nightclub in South Austin in 2011.

Police are searching for any credible information leading to who killed 54-year-old David Max Tucker.

Officers responded to 110 East Riverside Drive near the nightclub at about 8 a.m. on Nov. 22, 2011, for a welfare check.

Austin-Travis County EMS medics and Austin police found Tucker with obvious trauma. He was not breathing, according to a statement from Austin police.

The Travis County medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide.
