Monday forecast for Austin: If you thought last night's "Game of Thrones" series finale was disappointing, hoo boy, today's weather in Central Texas won't be much of a comfort.

In a revolting turn from Sunday's sunny if not downright hot weather, the day will be mostly uncomfortable, sticky, muggy and gross. It was already 77 degrees and soupy at 6:20 a.m. and temperatures are expected to rise to around 90 degrees throughout the day, the National Weather Service said.

On top of that, the area will see patchy showers and fog before 11 a.m. and then a 20% chance of rain until 2 p.m., forecasters said.

Cloudy skies will clear up throughout the morning and south-southeast winds blowing 10 to 15 mph could increase to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Some wind gusts could be as high as 30 mph.

A wind advisory for Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop and Caldwell counties will go into effect at noon Monday and last until 1 a.m. Tuesday, forecasters said. Driving could become difficult for people using eastbound or westbound roads and loose items outside could be blown away, they said.

Temperatures will dip down to a low near 73 degrees at night under increasingly cloudy skies, forecasters said. South-southeast winds blowing 15 to 20 mph could have gusts as high as 30 mph.
