Erik Condra had a hat trick and the Texas Stars scored on three power plays on the way to an 8-1 throttling of the San Antonio Rampage at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Saturday night.

The seven-goal winning margin tied a franchise record. The last time Texas won by that much was against Oklahoma City on Oct. 9, 2011.

Justin Dowling, back after a stint with the Dallas Stars, assisted on three goals while John Nyberg, Adam Mascherin and Roope Hintz each helped on two goals.

Landon Bow picked up the win in net, saving 30 of the 31 shots he faced.

Condra started the game on a roll, scoring just 51 seconds into play. Gavin Bayreuther and Nyberg assisted on the score.

Colton Hargrove doubled the lead just over five minutes later in his 200th career game.

Two power-play goals then put the Stars in full control of the contest in the first period. Joel L'Esperance notched his sixth score of the season before Bayreuther made it 4-0.

Dowling scored in the second period after the Rampage put one goal on the board to make it 5-1.

Condra finished off his hat trick in the third, scoring 3:46 into the period and then just under 10 minutes later on a power play.

Colin Markison registered his first goal of the season to cap the scoring.
