One person injured after falling down cliff in Lago Vista

Austin-Travis County EMS officials tweeted late Thursday that medics were called to rescue a person who had fallen down a cliff in Lago Vista.

Austin-Travis County EMS officials said late Thursday that one person was injured after falling down a cliff near Patriot Drive in Lago Vista.

EMS officials tweeted around 11:40 p.m. Thursday that the person, who is an adult, was being taken to a hospital via air transport.

EMS officials tweeted around 10:47 p.m. Thursday that the person had fallen 20 to 30 feet down a cliff and had severe traumatic injuries. Around 11 p.m., EMS officials said rescue crews were using a boat to get to the person.
