FORECAST: Cloudy Saturday in Austin with chance of showers

The National Weather Service is calling for a cloudy Saturday in Austin, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms until 8 p.m.

Meteorologists expect temperatures in the day to hit a high around 73 under cloudy skies that will become partly cloudy later in the day. They have put rain chances at 30 percent in the day and into the evening, with only slight chances of showers late at night.

South winds will blow in around 5 to 15 mph, forecasters say.

At night, temperatures are expected top drop to a low around 62 as winds from the south pick up, the weather service says.

It's possible the region could see some continued rain on Sunday, but forecasters are only putting chances around 20 percent. Cloudy skies will linger into the start of the week, meteorologists say.
