Get your phone camera ready. Thanks in part to the beauty of the Austin area, a travel site has named Texas the most “Instagrammable” state in the country.

Big Seven Travel, a website featuring travel guides and lists, released a list of "America's Most Instagrammable States." The Lone Star State beats out New York, No. 2, and California, No. 3 — cities which are known for popular photo spots like Times Square and the Golden Gate Bridge.

“It’s true: Everything is bigger in Texas,” the website says. “From portion sizes, pickup trucks, and 10-gallon hats to the Tex-Mex food and miles and miles of scenic landscape. In addition to cowboys and sprawling cities, Texas is home to some fantastic attractions and Instagrammable spots.”

Places were selected based on the number of “Instagrammable” spots. These could be original, natural or man-made and related to food and drink. The website also analyzed Instagram hashtags for each state, surveyed its social media audience of 1.5 million and held a voting round by a panel of travel experts.

The two places from Austin named on the list are the Blanton Museum of Art and the “truly spectacular” Hamilton Pool Natural Preserve.

The other “Instagrammable” places from Texas on the list are the Rio Grande, No. 1, Palo Duro Canyon State Park, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Houston's graffiti park and the Pegasus Plaza in Dallas.
