Dooap, a New York-based company that streamlines various accounting and financial processes for businesses, said Tuesday that it is moving its headquarters to Austin as it prepares for the “next phase of growth.”

As part of the transition, Dooap has named software industry veteran Mikko Hytönen as the company’s new CEO. Hytönen is replacing Antti Kosunen, who co-founded Dooap and its parent company, Efima, and will move into a business development role.

Kosunen said Hytönen’s experience will be important for Dooap’s future.

Hytönen “has demonstrated strategic leadership and vision, helping software firms increase their market share and revenue through innovative solutions that meet key business needs,” Kosunen said in a written statement Tuesday. “We’re confident that he will do the same for Dooap.”

Dooap was founded in 2016 and is a subsidiary of Finland-based digital finance company Efima, according to its LinkedIn profile.

The privately held company, which is estimated to employ 50 to 200 workers, builds invoice management tools for enterprise planning and customer management system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise. Dooap’s software is cloud-based and curated for mobile devices.

Hytönen said Dooap chose Austin for its new HQ because of the city’s tech talent and culture. In the next several months, Hytönen said Dooap will be “expanding our team there significantly.”

“Dooap has everything it needs to succeed – talented and motivated people, a growing customer base, and scalable, user-friendly technology,” Hytönen said in a written statement.
