Six-year-old Theresa Ann Babcock's tour across Texas selling lemonade to raise money to support fallen officers landed her at the Williamson County sheriff's office in Georgetown on Friday.

The Las Vegas girl stood outside in the sweltering heat behind a huge pitcher of lemonade at her stand with her parents at her side. Dressed in a uniform covered with police badges and pins, she smiled and said her lemonade was made with "lots of love."

"I'm here for the police officers," she said as she posed with Nemo, a sheriff's office K-9.

Her father, Robert Babcock, said she has raised $3,600 during her two-week tour in Texas that included six stops in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and will include a stop in Houston. Her goal is to raise $6,000 in Texas, he said. She raised $5,154 selling lemonade for fallen officers in California last year.

"The saying is that everything is bigger in Texas, so why not raise more money in Texas than California?" Robert Babcock said.

Theresa Ann wants to be a K-9 officer when she grows up, her father said. Robert Babcock, who works in IT, said he and his wife, Grace, spend their vacations touring with their daughter to raise money through her lemonade stand. Customers who come to her stand get a chance to meet the officers in their community and have positive interactions with them, he said.

He said their stops in Texas included Williamson County because he noticed on social media the positive support the sheriff's office gets from the community. The family also made stops in Round Rock and Pflugerville.

One of the many customers at Theresa Ann's stand Friday was Liz Bailey of Georgetown, who came with her two children.

"I think it's fantastic to see a little girl doing this," Bailey said.

The money that Theresa Ann raises will be given to the Injured Police Officers Fund. She has her own website at LovewithLemons.com.
