American-Statesman readers:

As Austin's water supply is deemed unsafe and and as floodwaters continue to affect Central Texas, the American-Statesman is providing free access to Statesman.com free to keep up with the latest developments to stay safe and stay informed.

Under normal circumstances, subscribers get unlimited access to Statesman.com, and non-subscribers can read a limited number of stories before being prompted to subscribe. Today, in the public interest and for public safety, we've opened the site for all and will continue until the flooding threat has eased.

A team of Statesman journalists has provided unmatched coverage of the flooding. Our photographers have captured the power and the devastating impact of the flooding in this gallery of impactful images and through drone video of the RM 2900 bridge washout and the rushing LLano River.

Coverage from our print edition is available in our ePaper replica edition at statesman.com/today
